our-Story
Our Journey
Established on July 16, 2000, the St. Peter Catholic Church Ruai Self Help Group traces its heritage of faith and community service back to its origins at the parish under Parish Priest Fr. Justus Rotuk, following a historic first meeting held by its 56 visionary founder members on August 20, 2000. Guided during its early stages by foundational officials including Chairman Anthony Matheka, Secretary Joseph Mwangi, and Treasurer Augustine Mwaura, the group quickly demonstrated a commitment to transparency and financial rigor by successfully conducting its very first official audit in July 2001.
